National Center on Child Care Data and Reporting

The National Center on Child Care Data and Reporting supports States, Territory, and Tribal Child Care and Development Fund grantees in collecting, managing, analyzing, and reporting child care administrative data. The Center’s technical assistance efforts are available to help build or enhance grantees' capacity to improve the quality of administrative data and are provided through a toll-free helpline, trainings at national conferences and regional office events, customized onsite technical assistance activities, and specialized data tools.

The Child Care Data Viewer, available to CCDF State and Territory grantees, is a software tool to help improve the quality of ACF-801 data and enhance its utilization. To use the Data Viewer on your desk top computer you must have minimum hardware and software requirements, and you must have access to the ACF-801 monthly data files.

The Child Care Data "Tracker" software, available to Tribes and Territories, is a comprehensive case management tool designed to support the collection, management, and utilization of the case-level information needed for the generation of the required ACF-700 and ACF-801 reports.

The State and Territory Reporting Technical Bulletins provide guidance to all grantees related to the data reporting requirements, data element definitions and format, and submission processes.
