National Center on Afterschool and Summer Enrichment
The National Center on Afterschool and Summer Enrichment (NCASE) provides training and technical assistance to state, territory, and Tribal Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) lead agencies. The center provides technical assistance focused on elements that are essential to expanding equitable access to school-age child care, including coordination between early childhood agencies and out-of-school time partners; social-emotional and mental health supports for school-age children, families, and providers; school-age quality systems and standards; professional development systems for school-age providers that incorporate competencies, standards, and credentials; use of data to inform approaches to school-age child care; and recruitment and retention of a diverse out-of-school time workforce through apprenticeships, leadership development, and career pathways.
