Supporting Recovery: Region I Framework for Supporting Providers After the COVID-19 Pandemic

In June, four Region 1 states participated in an overview and discussion about the Region 1 Common Framework for use of federal relief funds for child care. State staff discussed why they came together and how the framework has supported planning, communication, and implementation of provider grants in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. While the grant programs discussed used Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA) funding, the Lead Agencies shared how they are using the framework in planning for the child care stabilization grants funded by the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act.
