Resources from the 2017 Quality Initiatives and QRIS Peer Learning Group

The National Center for Early Childhood Quality Assurance, in partnership with the BUILD Initiative, worked with state teams in the process of reexamining the structure and operation of their quality initiatives system, including Quality Rating and Improvement Systems (QRIS). This National Center on Early Childhood Quality Assistance Peer Learning Group (PLG) focused on five key areas of the quality improvement systems, over five sessions:

  1. Getting Started: Challenges and Logic Models
  2. Components of Systems to Measure Early Care and Education Program Quality Improvement
  3. Financing and Technical Assistance Systems that Support Quality Improvement 
  4. Recruiting and Retaining Providers in Quality Improvement Systems and Supportive Monitoring
  5. Data Collection and Effective Communication
