Proposed Tribal Child Care Management Systems Framework: Summary

The proposed Tribal Child Care Management Systems Framework is a visual representation of the various management systems that are part of effective Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) program administration. Each component of the framework represents a management system that contributes to successful administration of the CCDF program. These systems work together to support implementation of the CCDF final rule requirements and high-quality service delivery that meets the needs of American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) children and families.

The proposed Tribal Child Care Management Systems Framework was published as part of the Office of Child Care’s 2019 Tribal Management Institute.  During the Institute, participants attended plenary and concurrent sessions that were based on the management systems in the proposed Framework.  An accompanying resource – What does the Tribal Child Care Management Systems Framework look like for your CCDF program? – provided an opportunity for participants to consider how the Framework applies to the unique context of their own AI/AN CCDF programs.
