Innovations and Data Sharing

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has hit child care programs hard. CCDF lead agencies have an opportunity to help stabilize the child care market and to make certain that all families have access to all ECE services they need. This breakout involved a high-level discussion of data-sharing strategies that CCDF lead agencies can implement among providers, CCDF administrative programs, and other ECE stakeholders. Examples include connections to CCDF data systems, child care management systems in child care centers and family child care networks that improve supply-and-demand data, electronic attendance and subsidy systems, and universal enrollment for ECE and family support systems.
