Improper Payments Information Technology Guide

The OCC has revised the Improper Payments Information Technology Guide (IT Guide). The IT Guide is comprised of two parts. Part I: Inventory of State Childcare Information Systems, examines the status of childcare information systems used to implement the child care program in each of the States, and highlights innovative and emerging practices in the application of technology to childcare program operations. Part II: Information Systems Project and Procurement Guidance is written for child care administrators and program staff who are involved in planning IT projects to support their programs. The activities described in Part II include clarifying the agency vision and its desired business processes, defining system requirements, performing feasibility and alternatives analysis studies, and issuing procurements for services and/or products required for the project. Readers of the IT Guide do not need technical knowledge to understand the material included.
