Signed into law on March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act included nearly $39 billion in new funding for CCDF Lead Agencies to stabilize the child care sector and rebuild toward a stronger system that better serves children, families, and providers. This document was developed in March 2022 to celebrate the impacts of the ARP Act 1 year after it was signed into law. It summarizes CCDF Lead Agencies’ progress and highlights the ways that Lead Agencies are using ARP Act funding.
