Adverse Childhood Experiences and the School-Age Population

OST programs can play a role in mitigating and preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). ACEs are disruptive to a school-age child’s academic and social development. The brief outlines ACEs to state-, territory-, and tribal-level professionals. The goal of this brief is to build awareness of research and practices in the field of school-age child care.
