2021 PDG B-5 Annual Meeting - Bridging the gap between what we know and what we do

This session explored the implementation of shared learning strategies using one example of a continuous quality improvement methodology – the Breakthrough Series Collaborative (BSC). The presenters offered insights into the key components believed to be important for creating sustainable quality improvements in early care and education (ECE) settings. Participants learned about the BSC methodology and how it was used in a recent study aimed at supporting children’s social and emotional learning. The study demonstrated the feasibility of implementing the BSC in ECE settings, suggesting it is a promising approach for states to consider for their ECE systems.
