On October 18, 2016 the National Center on Afterschool and Summer Enrichment (NCASE) hosted a webinar designed to explore strategies for building sustainable quality improvements, ways to engage school-age programs, create standards, select assessment tools, and provide support.
This webinar explores ways to create a framework for continuity, consistency, equity and developmentally appropriate practice between early childhood and schools. The focus is on birth to grade three and can be helpful for school-age to consider. The ideas and state examples suggest we need to align practices and polices through cross-sector relationships.
This webinar summarizes a set of briefs and tools designed to support State/Territory efforts to recruit and retain a skilled early childhood (EC) and school-age (SA) workforce. It includes specific ways to use the various sections of the Strengthening the EC and SA Workforce tool and focuses on alignment of resources.
This webinar includes national leaders who talk about the current status of school-age participation in the Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS), how to reduce barriers and increase participation. In addition, QRIS leaders from Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Washington State share their experiences in building QRIS for school-age.
