On March 11, 2020, the National Center for Afterschool and Summer Enrichment hosted the webinar, “Supporting a Strong Out-of-School Time Workforce: An Introduction to the Out-of-School Time (OST) Professional Development System Building Toolkit.” The toolkit was designed to assist states as they build and strengthen professional development systems inclusive of school-age providers.
The QRIS Resource Guide is a tool for states and communities to explore key issues and decision points in creating or revising Quality Rating and Improvement Systems (QRIS). There are tabs on components like initial design and implementation, standards, quality assurance and monitoring, and provider incentives and support.
The NCASE Out-of-School Time Professional Development System-Building Toolkit was designed to assist states as they build professional development systems inclusive of school-age providers.
Strengthening Systems and Supports to Build Positive Social-Emotional Climates in Out-of-School Time
From December 2018 through May 2019, the National Center on Afterschool and Summer Enrichment facilitated a peer learning group (PLG) on social-emotional learning (SEL) in Out-of-School Time (OST) for 10 state teams.
