Research Brief #1: Trends in Child Care Center Licensing Regulations and Policies for 2014
This brief examines the trends in changes to state licensing regulations. The findings come from state child care regulations and from a survey of state licensing agencies. It is a joint effort between the National Center on Child Care Quality Improvement (NCCCQI), a previous contract of the Office of Child Care, and the National Association for Regulatory Administration (NARA). It includes school-age information about ratios, groups sizes, the number of states with separate school-age regulations, and some general information on staff qualifications trends.
