Exploring the Promise of a Continuum Approach to Career Development Systems: Aligning Efforts across Early Childhood and Afterschool and Youth Development
This report offers important insights into how collaboration across sectors can help state and city systems build a more skilled, sustainable workforce that better supports children and youth. It: (1) describes the benefits of a continuum approach--that is, a collaborative approach inclusive of birth to young adult--to career development system building; (2) defines the six components of a career development system; and (3) provides examples of how states are addressing each component using a continuum approach.
