Emergency Preparedness and Recovery

This tool kit provides resources and links to help programs prepare for, respond to, and recover from a disaster or emergency. It includes tip sheets, guidelines, manuals, and research-based reports addressing topics ranging from planning and practicing emergencies to social and emotional supports for children and adults to rebuilding or renovating facilities, transportation, health and safety, and available federal funding. Although targeted to the care of children aged 0-5, many principles apply to the care of school-aged children. The Emergency Preparedness Manual and accompanying webinar are particularly relevant for school-age. This resource supports resilience and this resource supports the COVID-19 response.
