The Office of Child Care (OCC) is very excited to offer the upcoming National Program Integrity Webinar Series. These national webinars will highlight grantee actions that ensure internal controls and fraud prevention in their child care programs. As you are no doubt aware, program integrity is an issue of national interest and has been for several years. As stewards of public funds, we have a responsibility to increase our program’s accountability to better serve children and families. One way to think about fraud and improper payments is to consider the number of additional children that a State can serve when funds are spent correctly. OCC is committed to partnering with you to support your program integrity efforts, including engaging you in these webinars, whether you are a new State administrator or one who has been serving in this noble role for several years.
Some of you may remember the very successful series of national webinars that OCC hosted several years ago. These webinars were attended by State staff, audit staff, law enforcement personnel, and many other stakeholders involved in ensuring program integrity. OCC looks forward to engaging all of you again and to hearing about new State highlights, key technical assistance resources, and other ways that States and Territories can enhance their fraud prevention, detection, and recovery efforts.
