Extension of the ACF-696T Financial Reporting Deadline

Tribal lead agencies administering Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) programs are required to complete and submit the ACF-696T financial reporting form to the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) on an annual basis. This year the need to incorporate the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and supplemental disaster funds to the form delayed the release and publication of the ACF-696T Program Instruction (PI), leading ACF to extend the deadline for submitting the ACF-696T report for the fiscal year ending on September 30, 2020. ACF will announce the adjusted deadline in the upcoming PI; that deadline will be scheduled no earlier than 30 days after the PI’s publication. Tribal lead agencies should not submit ACF-696T reports until the PI has been published, which will occur after updates to the online submission site have been completed.

Note: CCDF program funds transferred to the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) on behalf of approved P.L. 102-477 plans are not subject to the ACF-696T reporting requirement.
