Consumer Education Hot Topic Webinar Series and “Ask Me Anything” Webinars

Have you ever wondered if your consumer education website is providing the information that families need? Do you have questions about how other states and territories are displaying some of the Child Care and Development Fund program consumer education requirements on their websites? Have you wondered how you could make your website more family-friendly?

The Child Care State Capacity Building Center (SCBC) is pleased to announce a series of webinars designed to help states and territories improve their consumer education websites. Based on the work done for intensive consumer education technical assistance (TA) efforts currently offered in five states and one territory, SCBC will share resources and best practices in a variety of areas that can help states and territories improve their consumer education websites. These fast-paced, hourlong webinars will combine different topical areas and expertise to help states and territories design and enhance their consumer education websites. Each webinar will provide resources, innovative examples, and specific ways to enhance user experiences through innovative practices.

As a followup to each webinar, a 30-minute “Ask Me Anything” webinar featuring our SCBC user experience and TA experts will be held 2 weeks later to answer participants’ questions. These followup webinars will allow states and territories to learn new information and to ask specific questions that can help them improve their consumer education websites.

SCBC will partner with experts from our Website Development and User Experience Team, along with experts from the National Center on Afterschool and Summer Enrichment, National Center on Child Care Data and Reporting, National Center on Early Childhood Quality Assurance, and National Center on Parent, Family, and Community Engagement, to offer these webinars.

The details about each webinar and the registration links for each one can be found below.
